Can you hear me?
No? How about now?! Aaargh.
Recently, many of us have spent more time than ever in front of a camera. In a way, connecting in digital calls is completely different from meeting face-to-face.
In another way, though, it really isn’t. Because here, as everywhere, it can be painfully hard to make ourselves heard – while others push their argument through by sheer force. We get tired of the game. And we mute ourselves.
And the muting doesn't stop in video calls. As a community, we've experienced it in questions of gender, race, religion and more. That's because standing up against inequality takes energy, takes courage.
